Determining the ability to predict managerial skills of managers through the dimensions of critical thinking, elementary school managers in Isfahan city

Abstract
The present study was conducted with the purpose of determining the relationship between critical thinking and three management skills (perceptual, technical and human skills) of elementary school principals in Isfahan city and with a descriptive and correlational method. The statistical population of the research consisted of all the principals of the elementary school in Isfahan city in the number of 491 people in 2006-2017. According to the table of Karjesi and Morgan (1971), the number of the statistical sample was estimated to be 216 people, and the sampling was done in a cluster. Kaufman's (1999) management skills questionnaire and Ricketts' (2003) critical thinking questionnaire were used to collect research data. The face validity was approved by a number of school administrators and the reliability of the tools was 0.87 and 0.85 respectively. Descriptive and inferential statistics (regression, Pearson correlation coefficient, analysis of variance) were also used in the data analysis. The findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between critical thinking and its dimensions (creativity, maturity, commitment) and management skills, and commitment was the best predictor of management skills.
