The effectiveness of self-compassion-based therapy on emotion regulation in secondary school students

Abstract
Middle school students are faced with various dangers and excitements. Emotions are considered the most important part of teenagers' lives, and its regulation can have a significant impact on this matter. This research was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of self-compassion-based therapy on emotion regulation in second year high school students. The statistical population was all high school students of the second year of high school in Bandar Abbas. The sampling method in this study was a cluster randomization in which 30 people were divided into two experimental groups and a control group, and the experimental group participated in 8 therapy sessions. The results of the research showed that the effectiveness of self-compassion-based therapy has an effect on emotion regulation in second year high school students. Therefore, this treatment method can be used to regulate emotions in secondary school students.
