Prediction of psychological well-being based on self-efficacy belief and emotional intelligence among female students

Abstract
This research was conducted with the aim of predicting psychological well-being based on self-efficacy and emotional intelligence in female students. The research was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of the research included all female students studying in the second secondary level of Nazarabad-Alborz public schools, which were selected by stratified random sampling of 340 female students. Information was collected using psychological well-being questionnaire-short form (Reif et al., 2006), general self-efficacy (Sherer and Maddox, 1982) and emotional intelligence (Golman, 1995). Data analysis was done with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation method and multiple regression with SPSS-v26 software. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between the total self-efficacy belief score and each of its components with psychological well-being in female students (r=0.615 and P<0.019). Statistically, there was a positive and significant relationship between the total score of emotional intelligence and each of its components with psychological well-being (r=0.677 and P<0.015). In the regression analysis with the simultaneous method, it showed that the pre- Between the explanatory power of 34% of the variance of the psychological well-being score.
