Abstract
The main purpose of the research was to investigate the effectiveness of the storytelling teaching method based on animation on the learning of math lessons in first grade female students . The statistical population includes all female students of the first grade of elementary school in Aligudarz city in the academic year of 1402-1403, which is equal to 898 students. Two experimental and control groups (28 people in each group) were selected by available sampling method. In order to measure the learning of the math lesson, The validity of the tests was approved by several first grade teachers, and the reliability of the tests was calculated using Cronbach's alpha test and was equal to 0.956, which has good reliability. Storytelling is based on the Misha and Kosha educational pack for first grade math in 8 stages including: teaching counting, teaching number, teaching pattern recognition, teaching Sudoku, teaching addition and subtraction, teaching place value, topic-based teaching , and teaching problem solving. The researcher teaches the experimental group students during sixteen sessions. The results showed that the animation-based storytelling teaching method had an effect on learning mathematics (ƞ2= 0.381, P = 0.000, F = 32.610), on learning counting ( ƞ2= 0.132, F = 8.082), on learning number writing ( ƞ2= 0.133, F = 8.164), on learning pattern recognition (Eta coefficient = 0.432, F = 40.360), on learning Sudoku (Eta coefficient = 0.087, F = 0.019), on learning addition and subtraction ( ƞ2 = 0.062, F = 3.479), on learning place value ( ƞ2= 0.298, F = 22.518), on learning the topic of the mathematics lesson ( ƞ2= 0.343, F = 27.672) and on learning Problem solving in mathematics lessons ( ƞ2= 0.231, F = 15.940) is effective in first grade female elementary school students in Aligudarz city
