English

this research was conducted with the aim of developing a structural model of the role of cell phone dependence on mental health with the mediating role of self-evaluation in high school students. The statistical population of the research includes the second high school students of 2022-2023 of Mallard city, which according to the statistics are 13886 people. The sample size of 375 people was randomly selected. The tool for collecting information is the questionnaire of dependence on mobile phones by Koo H. y. (2009),the self-evaluation questionnaire of Judge et al (1997) and Viet and Ware Mental Health (1983), the collected data were analyzed using the structural equation test. The results show that the direct effect of cell phone addiction on mental health P (0.001),  (0.269) and the indirect effect of cell phone addiction with the mediation of self-evaluation on mental health P (0.019)  (0.088) and also the total effect between variables is P (0.001),  (0.241), also the direct effect of self-evaluation on mental health is P (0.001), (-0.241) They are statistically significant. According to the obtained results, the variables of dependence on mobile phone and self-evaluation are simultaneously able to explain 24.5% of the variance of mental health. Also, the variable of dependence on mobile phone is able to explain 13.5% of the variance of self-evaluation. the theoretical model of the mediating role of self-evaluation in the relationship between cell phone addiction and mental health in students is confirmed at the 0.05 level and with 95% probability
