The aim of the present research was to investigate the mediating role of distress tolerance in the relationship between conflict resolution methods and marital adjustment in married women of Shahinshahr city. The correlation research method is structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the research included all married women living in Shahinshahr city, of which 200 people participated in this research. The research results showed that conflict resolution methods can predict marital compatibility.
The results of the research showed that among the conflict resolution styles that included integration style, compromise style, dominant style, obliging style and avoidant style, integration and compromise styles have shown a significant relationship with compatibility. Marital adjustment also increases with distress tolerance. The path coefficient between the binding style and the compromise style with distress tolerance is statistically significant, and the integration, dominant and avoidant styles have not shown a significant relationship with distress tolerance. The indirect coefficient of the relationship between the binding conflict resolution style and the compromise style with marital adjustment Distress tolerance mediation is statistically significant. By reducing the required conflict resolution style, distress tolerance increases in married women, and as a result, marital compatibility increases. By increasing the conflict resolution style of compromise, marital compatibility in married women directly increases, and indirectly, distress tolerance increases in them, and as a result, marital compatibility increases.
